INFORMATION COLLECTED OR RECEIVED

When you subscribe to La Caja Rosa or place an order through lacajarosa.com we will ask you for your name, email address, shipping address, credit card information or other personally identifiable information about you ("Personal Information").

We use this information to process and fulfill your order and to notify you of your order status. All credit card information on file is kept in a secure environment, to which we do not have access once the order is processed.

We do not collect any personal information about you unless you provide it voluntarily. La Caja Rosa will never sell, rent or share your personal information, including your email address, with third parties for commercial purposes without your express permission.

We collect your information to provide you with a meaningful, secure, efficient and personalized experience. We use this information to:

INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE 

A.      When you subscribe: 

To subscribe you must complete a questionnaire that asks for information about your beauty profile such as your skin tone, hair color and texture, products you prefer and where you usually buy beauty products.  We use this information to personalize your experience. If you subscribe to The Pink Box, we will use the information in your beauty profile to send you articles that match your unique profile, alerts about products, services and other beauty news that may be of interest to you.

Upon completion of your beauty questionnaire, to join The Pink Box you must choose a username and password. You must also provide a valid email address and your date of birth. We use your email address to communicate with you about our Site and your registration. We ask for your date of birth to make sure you are old enough to use our Site and our services. And of course! To wish you a happy birthday.

If you provide us with your email address, but decide not to subscribe, we will retain your email address for a period of time to invite you back to the Site.

B.      When you place an order

If you subscribe to checkout or order our products you must provide us with: name, shipping address, billing address and credit card information.  We use this information, along with your email address, for billing purposes, to fulfill your orders and to communicate with you about your orders. We collect your credit card information through our Site. Credit card information is encrypted and transmitted for storage to a highly secure vault in accordance with strict industry standards. Once the data reaches the vault, it is "tokenized". That means no credit card information is retained in The Pink Box's own systems.  Instead, we retain a token associated with your account that has no intrinsic value. Your credit card information is not exposed anywhere on our own systems. Do not send your credit card information directly to our team, for example, by emailing this information to a La Caja Rosa representative. Use our secure, online system to enter your credit card information.

C.      When you request information from us 

If you wish to be notified about certain products or special offers, or if you subscribe to our emails, you must give us your email address. We use it to fulfill your requests, whether we are e-mailing you information about certain products or sending you an e-mail to tell you about an offer from The Pink Box.

D.      When you post content about us.

We use this content to bring our community to life.

Public Information You Post on the Site. 

The information you post publicly on our site is intended for public consumption. Please note that your username and profile picture will be publicly displayed with your username, as well as reviews, photos, images, videos and comments you choose to post. In addition, posts you make on our Site may appear when Internet users perform searches on the subject of your post. If you do not want this information to be displayed, we advise you not to publish it. Please note that if you are a minor, live in the Dominican Republic and have posted information publicly that cannot be removed, you have the right to request that it be hidden from public view. If you wish to have this information removed, please email us at info@lacajarosa.com and request removal. Visitors to the site can identify you or associate you with your account if you include personal information in your account profile or in any content you post. We cannot control who reads your posts or what other users may do with the information you voluntarily post, so we encourage you to exercise discretion and caution with respect to your personal information.

You can reduce the risk of being personally identified by choosing a username and profile picture that does not identify you and by taking care to exclude any personal information in your comments, reviews, appearances or videos. You can change your username and profile picture at any time by logging into your account.

Public information you post on other sites. We may also collect information you post publicly on third party sites, but only if you choose to follow the instructions we provide. For example, we may collect images you post publicly on Instagram and republish them on our Site, but only if you choose to use the hashtag "#Lacajarosard" within your Instagram post. You can always ask us to remove information from our Site by emailing us at info@lacajarosa.com.

Information we automatically collect or receive.

A. Log Files. Like most sites, La Caja Rosa automatically receives and stores in log files certain information from your browser when you visit the Site. This information includes your Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, your operating system and the date and time stamp of your visit to the Site. We use this information, which does not identify individual visitors to the Site, to analyze and understand how the Site works for you so that we can improve the Site, administer the Site and gather demographic information about Site visitors for online marketing purposes. We may link this automatically collected information to your personal information.

How We Protect Your Information

We are committed to protecting the information we receive. However, The Pink Box will not be liable for disclosures of personal information due to errors in transmission or unauthorized acts of third parties. We have undertaken commercially reasonable efforts to prevent unauthorized Internet access to visitor data retained on our servers, however, due to the inherent open nature of the Internet, La Caja Rosa cannot guarantee the security of information you transmit to us or any information provided online, and you do so at your own risk. The Site encrypts your credit card number and other personal information using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to provide secure transmission of information from your PC to our servers. In addition, only those employees and third parties who need access to your information to perform their jobs are granted such access.

A. Log in to your account. You can change the personal information you provide to us and delete any content you post publicly on our Site, including comments, reviews and videos, by logging into your account and making the appropriate changes.

Block cookies and targeted advertising. You can prevent The Pink Box and its third party partners from setting and accessing cookies on your computer by setting your Internet browser to block cookies. You can also opt out of targeted advertising from participating companies.

Our site does not act on "do not track" request headers, but you can still limit tracking by following these steps. 

Cancel your subscription or deactivate your account. You can deactivate your account by emailing us at info@lacajarosa.com with the subject line, "Account deactivation request".

We reserve the right, at our discretion, to change, modify, add or remove portions of this policy at any time. If we decide to change our Privacy Policy, we will post the revised Privacy Policy here so that you will always know what information we collect, how we may use that information, and whether we may disclose it to anyone. Any changes will be consistent with the stated Principles of the Safe Harbor Agreement. Continued use of the Site with the Privacy Policy as posted.
